Please forgive the constant changing of my site, I'm trying to achieve a new look and coding is a new language that I'm trying hard to learn so bare with me.

This past week, a good friend has fallen. He was an amazing skateboarder but an even better person. Arthur lived like he skated, fast and with ease. Whether he was doing a backside heel down 8 or just playing a game of SKATE he always tried his hardest. It's unreal to think why such a solid character with such strong morals deserved such a premature passing. We will never know why the higher being decided to take him from us but until we meet again, Arturo, I will think of you every time I step foot on a board. Rest In Peace my good man.

having just spent a month in barcelona this past summer i have a newfound interest in their music scene. i just stumbled across these 4 guys originally from the basque country in northern spain that traveled coast-bound to barcelona to make music. they have played at primavera sound festival which I had the opportunity to attend this year and i've got to say... it was the best concert i've ever been to. hands down. delorean have evolved from a straight up 1980's indie rock sound to more sythn-based pop music. their new ep, "Ayrton Senna" unfortunately is only loaded with 4 songs  but i guess we can only hope for more in the near future. if i had to give a musical metaphor on these guys i would say... thank you erik johnson from the call for new music email thread! the critically acclaimed black keys have gotten together with 11 extremely talented hip-hop artists to seamlessly merge the garage rock sounds of dan auerbach and pat carney with the likes of lyricists such as mos def, rza, raekwon, damon dash, and q-tip... just to name a few. anyways, i am personally extremely excited for this album and it's november 27th release date couldn't come sooner. it's so rad seeing different musical cultures actually get together and combine sounds rather then hearing a plethora of mashups made by some protools nerd. don't get me wrong, bearbot- i love your stuff but let's face it, the chemistry these artists have together is amazing when you take their musical backgrounds into account. watch the promo vid on the BLAKROC site and see for yourself... mos def & dan auerbach

just caught wind tonight that a fellow school member has passed away. a terribly unfortunate event. supposed to be having the time of her life here in san francisco at art school doing what she loves. personally, i knew her briefly but this tribute is more for her family and her huge group of friends that she spent everyday with. she was a stunningly cute girl and respected herself just as much as others revered her. anyways, this is not meant to be depressing but i felt it was appropriate to post this commemorative picture i took of her last year on halloween. we all wish you safe travels, caro and we'll see you soon enough! like my dad always says, "no body gets out of this game alive!"

i started calling alex "knox" when we were young because he reminded me of knox godoy from baker skateboards. i suppose that's not the most flattering nickname... anyways, he's been writing and recording music as long as i can remember. he's a fine mix between slug from atmosphere and brother ali but with eminem-like offensiveness. i know he wouldn't appreciate me comparing his style to other artists but i know those guys are some of his biggest influences. his lyrics, yet sometimes dark and depressing, take modern day metaphors and smoke their eyelids and punch their cigarettes...uhhh. in short: he's good. he's raw. and he's fuckin real. knox has tons of beats with lyrics he's yet to record but i see a lot of good coming from him in the near future. please give this kid some attention and help get his music out there. oh, he can perform too. let me know if you want some more songs!

our buddy matt bruce just recently started a new blog called satan rides a track bike (www.satanridesatrackbike.blogspot.com) it's pretty rad. be sure to check out matt's girl katy (www.flickr.com/photos/katyroseabrams) she does some interesting stuff with her nikon. hopefully this will be a collaborative blog and we can spread the word about everyones art form, be it video, photo, music, fashion, cooking, biking, skateboarding... whatever. keep it creative.
